The Holiday Season Comes to Life at the SeaWorld Christmas Celebration 2016

The SeaWorld Christmas Celebration will be held on select dates from November 25 to December 31, 2016 at SeaWorld Orlando.

1. Shows

Christmas and winter-themed shows will be something the whole family can enjoy during the holiday season in Orlando. O Wondrous Night tells the Christmas story with carols, puppets, and a Nativity scene with real animals, while Winter Wonderland on Ice is a stunning holiday ice skating extravaganza, complete with fireworks.

2. Special Guests

Of course, Shamu will make an appearance in Shamu Christmas Miracles, but you can also see Clyde and Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas with the two eponymous seals.  Elmo’s Christmas Wish comes to SeaWorld in 2016, as well.

You can also meet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer while you’re at the park.

3. Special Events for Holiday Celebrations in Orlando

See the festive Sea of Trees, a lighted forest of Christmas trees on the water, and stuff yourself with holiday cheer at Santa’s Fireside Feast, where you can dine on a festive meal and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus right here in Orlando. There will be holiday favorites as well as delectable desserts.

Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards bottles the taste of muscadine and hybrid grapes from their picturesque fields of grapevines. This sprawling 127-acre vineyard, located just 25 miles from Orlando, is one of the premium wineries in Florida.

The winery additionally boasts yearly festivals as well as a tasting room and gift shop. When you visit the vineyard you can enjoy tours, tastings, wine selecting, and even a picnic area.

Many varieties of wine are offered at Lakeridge. Try a classic Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, or a Southern Red or White. There’s also Chablis, Blanc du Bois Reserve, Proprietor’s Reserve, and Stover’s Reserve, along with specialties like Sunblush and Pink Crescendo.

Florida Wine Tours and Tastings

Tour the facility and taste the wine seven days a week. Monday through Saturday, you can visit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays, tours and tastings are available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tours include a video presentation about wine-making, a tour of the production facility, and a view of the vineyards.

Tastings usually include a range of wines, from sweet to sparkling to dry. Both tastings and tours are complimentary.


Seasonal events are coming up at the winery in November and December.

The 26th Annual Holiday Open House is a three-day event from November 11-13. You can purchase art and gifts from local crafters, sip on mulled wine, and enjoy live music in addition to tours and tastings.

The 6th Annual Wine & Chocolate Festival happens December 10th and 11th. Come for local arts and crafts, live music, wine, chocolate, and lots of delicious food.

The 2016 Orlando Beer Festival Offers a Taste of Fine Brews

The 2016 Orlando Beer Festival is the place to go to taste craft beer, sip on wine, eat some delicious food, and treat your ears to live music.

The party for beer sampling in Orlando lasts all afternoon on Saturday, November 12, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Festival Park.

VIP tickets for early entry (and dibs on some of the best beer) are available along with general admission tickets. A VIP ticket gets you in to the event an hour early and grants you access to the VIP area. You’ll also receive a complimentary beer glass and free parking.

The festival sold out last year, so buy your tickets early!

A large number of craft beers, breweries, and bars will be represented at the Orlando Beer Fest including Black Cauldron Brewing, Orlando Brewing, Green Flash, Crooked Can Brewing Company, Odd Elixir, Rogue Pub, Kona Brewing Company, Broken Strings Brewery, and many more. Additional beers and breweries are continually being added.


Besides Orlando craft brews, most of which will be local and regional, there will be a lot going on at the festival. Interactive games (last year's fest featured an “adult play zone”), wine tasting, and live music will be featured at the event as well.

One of the biggest shows at the event in 2016 is the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. The Sanderson Sisters from the movie Hocus Pocus will be hosting nefarious Disney Villains™ as they cast a spell over the entire Halloween party. The show is full of special effects and eye-popping visuals, and is a treat that’s not to be missed.

Run Over to Orlando for Disney’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend

Runners, both amateurs and experts alike, should lace up their sneakers and grab their forks for Disney’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.

Thursday, November 3 through Sunday, November 6, 2016, the race is on. Runs, marathons, and half marathons will be taking place all over Walt Disney World® in Orlando, including Epcot® and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park.

The Half Marathon, the title event, will take place early in the morning on Sunday, November 6th. Participants will run through Walt Disney World Resort®, ending at Epcot®.

The Disney® Wine & Dine 10K will happen Saturday, Nov. 5th throughout Epcot®.

Lumiere’s™ Two-Course Challenge signs you up for two races – the 10K on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday.

Mickey’s™ Holiday 5K will be held Friday, November 4th, and is a fun event for all ages wanting to try a 5K in Orlando.

Special kids races in Orlando include 100m to 400m dashes as well as a 1-mile run.

All runners must register for their chosen races. Spectators may purchase a special package for reserved race seating.

Halloween Horror Nights is happening now and will run on select dates through October 31. Hours vary – some nights last from 6:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., and some last from 6:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.

A whopping total of nine haunted houses offer up the chills and screams, with many of them modeled after your favorite horror movies (The Exorcist, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and AMC's The Walking Dead for example). Some of the most popular rides are ready to go – if you make it there. Climb aboard Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, or buckle up for Transformers: The Ride 3D. Even more rides are waiting to offer the ultimate in thrilling adventure.

Halloween in Orlando is unique and fun at SeaWorld. At the Spooktacular event, there’s a lot to see and do for families who want to get into the spirit of the season.
